The Phoenix Mountain Racers are wrapping up what has turned out to be a very successful season! The Phoenix Mountain Racers were back on the slopes this year after a one year hiatus.  Twenty-five racers participated in the program which teaches basic skiing techniques and skills in as many different snow conditions and terrains as possible.

Grand Forks greeted the Olympic Torch on Sunday, Jan. 24 in style. About 1,000 people gathered to see the torch as it came through town and to enjoy the entertainment, borscht and hot chocolate. The first annual snow sculpting competition held in Grand Forks on Saturday, Jan. 23 left some interesting shapes in city park for the Olympic Torch Relay celebrations. Four teams entered the inaugural event sponsored by Les Johnson of What's Up In Grand Forks.
