OBIT: Oye, Keiya

On March 29th 2014, Keiya Oye, loving husband and father  passed away peacefully at the  Boundary Hospital , in Grand Forks , B.C.  with family at his bedside.

Keiya was born January 01, 1934 in Steveston, B.C. 

He is survived by his wife, Judy, sons, Laurence and Jason, daughter in law, Yasuyo, and grandchildren, Zara and Masamichi.

Also survived by his brothers, Toru and Kenji and sister,  Sumiko.

Keiya had worked at CPR, for a few years then at Pope and Talbot in Midway, BC for  33 years.

Keiya enjoyed karaoke with his wife, friends and family.

During his retirement he enjoyed golfing, and fishing.

We would like to thank his family doctor, the doctors and staff at the Boundary Hospital for their excellent care of Keiya over the years, and also extend our thanks to Boundary homecare support services.

He lived a simple life with simple and true values. He always had a smile and enjoyed chatting with friends.

He will be sorely missed.

There will be a memorial held for friends and family at a later date.
