OBIT: Boulin, Joseph "Joe"

Dec 1, 1961 – Oct 14, 2013

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Joe.

Joe Boulin passed away suddenly on Oct 14, 2013 at his home in Krestova, BC.  He was only 51 years young.  Joe was born on Dec 1, 1961 in Nelson, BC and was the son of Nick and Margaret Boulin.  He was raised in a loving home along with his siblings Liza and Nick Jr.

On March 6, 1982 Joe married Lenny Davidoff and they raised two daughters, Shauna was born in May 1990 and Kyla was born in Dec 1991.  They are both beautiful and loving young ladies and we are all so proud of them.

At the age of 18, Joe decided to take the welding apprenticeship as his career choice and had become a very talented welder.  He was a member of the BoilerMakers Union and had traveled extensively throughout BC.  He worked for contractors on various projects with his last employment being West Kootenay Mechanical in Trail, BC.  He had made many friends along the way, during his career, and still kept in touch with several of them.

Joe was a very charismatic and generous person, everybody loved him.  He enjoyed having family and friends over for BBQs and loved tubing down the Slocan River.  He was also a very talented guitar player which most people were not aware of.  But above all, the most important people in his life were his immediate family including his grandkids (Courtney 5 years old and Caleb 3 years old). He always took pleasure in loving and supporting them in all areas of their lives.

Joe will be forever missed by his spouse; Lenny Boulin, his daughters; Shauna Boulin (grandkids – Courtney & Caleb) & Kyla Boulin, his parents; Nick & Margaret Boulin, his grandfather; Mike Dennisow, his sister; Liza (Ed) Donaldson, his brother; Nick (Marilyn) Boulin, his niece Kimberly & nephew David Donaldson and nephews Aaron Boulin & Dakoda Moyer-Vayro.  Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

Joe was pre-deceased by his Baba; Molly Boulin in 1991, his Deda; Pete Boulin in 2001 and his Baba; Polly Dennisow in 2012.

All are welcome to attend the Funeral Service which will be held on Saturday, Oct 19th at 10:00am in the Krestova Community Hall in Krestova BC, followed by the burial and a meal.

Arrangements are in the care of the Grand Forks Funeral Home under the direction of Everett Baker.
