New signs are unveiled in Grand Forks
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Aug. 23 to official announce the new signage on the East and West entry points into town.
The signs have been a work in process since last year, when city councillors set aside money to upgrade the existing signs.
The new signs are black and white with the logo “settle down.” Solar lights make the signs visible at night.
“We hope the signs become important landmarks that welcome visitors and residents into our community, ” says Mayor Brian Taylor, in a press release. “The community has recently embraced a sense of pride in terms of who and what we are and these signs are the next step in Grand Forks saying we’re here and we’re happy to have you!”
