There was a near sell out crowd for the Granby Dance Studio annual recital held last Thursday, Jun. 9. Classes performed their numbers in jazz, lyrical, Irish, and belly dance styles.

Of course the preschool and early years classes were precious to watch, including a break dance component from the preschool jazz boys! The older classes demonstrated their skills in a variety of songs wowing the audience and charming them too. All set to the narrative skills of MC Sheldon Weigel who joined a few other dads and took the stage at the end of the show.

The choreography of the various dances gave an excellent representation of Studio Director Michele Dean and her instructor Ashlie Jmayoff’s teaching talents. Overall the evening was enjoyable giving the students a chance to strut their stuff after a long year of learning.
