What about us? Can Rural BC be optimistic about the Future?

Rural BC has been hard hit with the economic downturn, the pine beetle epidemic, the ongoing softwood lumber issue with the U.S. and the ongoing erosion of manufacturing jobs.  Is there something more optimistic on the horizon, and what would it take to get us there?
