Little People's Preschool visits Jerseyland Dairy
Children from the Little People’s Centre and Sunshine Valley Child Care Society day care program enjoyed a tour of Jerseyland Dairy in Grand Forks on Tuesday, May 22.
The small group of two to five year-olds saw the milking parlour where more than 30 cows give 800 litres of milk every day. They also saw where the company’s organic cheese is made and then spent the rest of the tour feeding grass and dandelions to the doe-eyed jersey cows throughout the farm yard, petting a pony and some curious goats before sampling some tasty cheese.
