RCMP said Columbia Valley RCMP were notified of a helicopter crash south of Invermere, BC, near Brewer Creek at approximately 7 p.m. A ranch owner piloted the privately-owned helicopter, who had two passengers on board.

“Search and Rescue crews were deployed to the area and located the helicopter, and sadly the pilot who was deceased,” said Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson.
