Cranbrook RCMP have taken a large amount of drugs off the street.

Police said that on April 16th, 2024, the Cranbrook RCMP Enhanced Response Unit executed a search warrant in the 200-block of 3rd Avenue South with a combined total of six (6) kilograms of suspected Meth, Fentanyl, Cocaine and Psilocybin were seized.

RCMP said along with the suspected drugs, close to $80,000 CAD and USD was located along with some Mexican currency.

Police also seized several prohibited weapons and two firearms from the residence.

A 52-year old male along with a 45-year old female were arrested on scene. They have since been released to appear in court at a later date.

This was a great team effort spearheaded by Cranbrook’s Enhanced Response Unit, says S/Sgt Barry Graham, Detachment Commander.

We are thankful we were able to seize these items before they made it to the streets of Cranbrook.
