Person sustains non-life-threatening injuries following early morning shooting in Revelstoke
Revelstoke RCMP General Investigation Section has opened an investigation after a person with a gunshot wound was dropped off at a local hospital.
RCMP said that Thursday, March 14, 2024, at approximately 6 a.m., Revelstoke RCMP received a report of an adult male, having entered the local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
RCMP said that officers attended and confirmed the injured party, who is well known to police, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to ascertain details as to what occurred. A possible scene has been identified; however, it has not yet been confirmed.
“The investigation is in its early stages, however, is believed to be an isolated incident, with no threat to the public at this time,” says Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson.
