UPDATED: Police apprehend man on outstanding arrest warrant

Grand Forks RCMP said Friday night, February 3, 2023 at just past 9 p.m. Ryan Harp was apprehended by police.

Grand Forks RCMP said police officers from both the Grand Forks and Midway Detachments responded to a tip from the public that Ryan Harp, a male who was at large and wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant was seen near Phoenix Road and Marshall lake Road between the two communities.

RCMP said that officers from both jurisdictions attended and were able to arrest Harp without incident.

Harp was brought back to the Grand Forks RCMP detachment where a Bail Hearing was held for him on Saturday afternoon and he has since been remanded into custody until February 7 where he will make another court appearance.

RCMP shift search for wanted man to Trail area

Trail RCMP said Wednesday that police received information that 32-year-old Ryan Harp currently in the Trail area. 

RCMP said Harp has an outstanding unendorsed warrant for Breach of Release Order contrary to Section 145(5) of the Criminal Code.  

He is accused of assault, assaulted with a weapon, uttering threats, assault by choking, and arson damaging property stemming from an incident in Grand Forks

RCMP said the public should please not approach Harp as he is considered armed and dangerous at this time. 

RCMP search for wanted man Grand Forks area

Grand Forks RCMP are presently looking for 32-year-old man, relating to an outstanding arrest warrant for a Breach of Release Order.

Ryan Harp is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • brown hair and brown eyes,
  • standing at approximately 6’2 and weighing approximately 210 pounds

Police said Harp may have shaven his beard off.
