In a media release, Grand Forks RCMP said crime stats show that local Mounties were slightly busier this year compared to the same time frame of 2020.
From January 1 to March 31 of 2020, local police attended 651 calls for service. In the same period of 2021, police responded to 679 calls for service, which equates to a 4% increase.
Some of the more notable calls for service are:

“Even with Covid restrictions in place for the foreseeable future, we are planning on a busy spring and summer as the weather warms up.”
