The DriveBC website said Highway 3 east of Greenwood is now open to alternating single-lane traffic.
The Highway was closed early Friday morning due to a mudslide.
Mudslide closes Highway 3
The highway between Grand Forks and Greenwood is closed thanks to a mudslide that washed across Hwy. 3, early Friday morning.
The mudslide, located 5 km east of Greenwood, was published on DriveBC at 7 a.m. It is in the process of being evaluated.
No re-opening time is scheduled and no detour is posted. However, the Gibbs Creek Road over Phoenix Mountain is the usual detour for small, passenger vehicles.
Across the Border
South of Christina Lake, another landslide has washed part of Hwy 395, 16 km (10 miles) north west of Kettle Falls.
Detours are over Napolean Bridge or Barstow Bridge and Kettle Falls is closed.
Other south of the border concerns include Hall Creek Road, which has been damaged and Stray Dog Canyon — also damaged.
