UPDATE: Fatal accident closes Trail highway

Police have released that the victim of a fatal accident in Trail this morning was a 27-year-old female motorcycle driver, a Fruitvale resident, who collided with a small SUV. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

A person has been killed after a motor vehicle accident this morning, according to RCMP Sgt. Darren Oelke.
Oelke said the motorcycle-vs-car collision, right at the turn off to AM Ford on Highway 3B, happened just before 6 a.m. Monday morning.
Highway 3B is down to two of four lanes and likely will remain so for the rest of the morning, so motorists are asked to use alternate routes wherever possible.
