Eric Ramsden, Co-Chair of the West Kootenay Community TEETH Clinic Society said the with one week remaining in the contest, West Kootenay Community TEETH Clinic Society is in the driver’s seat.
“We just heard from Pacific Blue Cross (Monday) morning that we are in first place with just one week to go,” Ramsden explained.
“We need to keep those votes coming in right through Monday, December 6th,” he added.
Joining the West Kootenay Community TEETH Clinic Society in the final category are Charlford House Society for Women; Canim Lake Band – Tsq’escenemc People; Streetohome and the Crisis Intervention & Suicide Prevention Centre of BC.
“To bring it on home we need as many new voters as possible to provide us this great opportunity to expand our direct services to Trail and/or Castlegar,” Ramsden said.
“This would mean less travel for our low income community members that are taking advantage of our services that currently have to travel from Trail, Castlegar, Rossland, Grand Forks.”
The two videos with the most votes at the end of the campaign will have their donations increased to $50,000 and $10,000 respectively.
Winners will be announced in early January.
“Thanks to our great West Kootenay Boundary communities for helping us expand our dream,” Ramsden said.
