Founder's Day call for volunteers
Greenwood Community Groups & Individuals,
The Founder’s Day Organizing Committee is excited to announce that this year’s celebration will be happening on Saturday, July 11th in Lion’s Park.
We invite all Greenwood community groups and individuals to participate and help make this year’s celebration, Greenwood’s 118th birthday, the best ever yet.
This year we have seven sub-committees to help organize our plans as we lead-up to the big day – entertainment, fundraising, history, marketing, parade, Vendor and Volunteer. The focus of this years celebration will be honouring the 100th anniversary of the Greenwood Post Office Building, completed in May of 1915.
Now we just need you to help us bring this together as Founder’s Day is completely volunteer run and operated. It’s what makes our community so wonderful, amazing and strong.
Together we can put on the best celebration and show the world why Canada’s smallest city is also Canada’s best-kept secret.
We want to hear your ideas – please have your group representative or individual attend our next meeting or contact us via email if you cannot make the meeting in person – volunteer@foundersday.ca Founder’s Day Organizing Committee Meeting Tuesday April 14th 2015 – 6:00 pm Greenwood City Hall – 202 S. Government Ave.
With Regards,
Jim Nathorst (President, Greenwood Board of Trade)
