"Pretty Faces" coming to GEM; Phoenix fundraiser
History-making ski film with all women skiers/riders Phoenix Mountain Alpine Ski Society (PMASS) is proud to present the all women skiing/snowboarding film “Pretty Faces” at the Gem Theater Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for youth with proceeds to go towards bringing a youth snow safety class to Phoenix in January.
Pretty Faces is the story of a skier girl. A film that celebrates women who thrive in the snow and are committed to taking the path less traveled to accomplish their dreams.
The concept for the film was originated by professional big mountain skier and SheJumps co-founder, Lynsey Dyer with the objective of giving women and girls, young and old, a voice and source of inspiration through a unique look at what is possible when boundaries are broken, dreams captured and friendships cultivated. In Lynsey’s words “I wanted to give young girls something positive to look up to…I wanted to give them their Blizzard of Ahhh’s, Ski Movie or High Life, but done in a way that also shows the elegance, grace, community and style that is unique to women in the mountains.”
We have door prizes from local businesses around the Boundary region and Phoenix Mountain swag. Come prepared to hoot and holler in classic ski film fashion!
