Three people were injured when an ambulance was involved in an accident today in Rossland, according to Trail RCMP Cpl. Kelly Hall.

“On July 24, at approximately 9:02 a.m., Trail and Greater District RCMP responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle incident involving an ambulance on Highway 3B near Feeney Road at Rossland,” she said. “The ambulance left the roadway and travelled down an embankment.

“The three occupants of the vehicle were not trapped in the vehicle and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Hall said the ambulance was not carrying any patients at the time of the mishap.

“The incident is currently under investigation, but speed and road conditions are not believed to be factors.”
