ATV and trail partners club hosts fun day

The Grand Forks ATV Club, along with the 17 partners of the Boundary Country Trails Agreement and other supporting partners of the Grand Forks – Christina Lake Multi Use Recreational Trails Plan invite all residents to a very special event!

The Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 10 from 10 am – 5 pm.  Will be at the Motto Cross — Morrissey Road Creek road just east of town watch for signs.

Events during the day include organized mountain bike rides led by Grand Forks Mountain Bikers, a hike around the area led by the North Fork Trail Maintenance group, horse ride for folks with horses and the Boundary Horse Association, and opportunities for people to ride an ATV.

There will also be a modified ATV Safety Course conducted by an ATV BC Certified instructor and a mountain bike workshop. In addition,there will be many guest speakers centered around the theme of riding an ATV properly and safely.

There will be a BBQ featuring burgers and buns supplied by Overwaitea Foods and Buy Low foods. All proceed towards the multi use trail project, with an estimated budget of $50,000.

Come out and join in the fun bring your ride or a chair watch for maps in local public areas.

Once completing the course the participant receives a certificate which allows a insurance discount.
