Easter in the Boundary

There were plenty of Easter egg hunts and related events in the Boundary this year.

In Grand Forks city park, River Valley Community Church, along with numerous other sponsors and organizations, put on a hunt on Saturday. To fill the time before and after the hunt, they also offered activities like a petting zoo, face painting, and a puppet show. The Easter egg hunt was divided into two age groups, the oldest being 12.

In Christina Lake, the egg hunt was held on Sunday behind the Christina Lake Welcome Centre. The hunt took part in a lightly forested area so children got to put little more “hunt” into their searches. The age groups were divided into smaller categories with teens having their own separate hunt as well — with even more challenges. More prizes were awarded for children that found special golden eggs.

Check out the pictures to see how it all unfolded.
