Trail police nab prolific offender after foot chase
A prolific offender is facing jail time after a brief altercation with police, according to Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) C/O Cpl. Darryl Orr.
“On Dec.12, members of the Trail Crime Reduction Unit received information that a local prolific offender was hiding in an East Trail residence,” Orr said. “The offender,Trevor Isenor (35 years old) had two outstanding warrants issued for his arrest for theft and breach of probation.”
Orr said this was not Isenor’s first attemp to evade arrest.
“CRU members watched the residence for the better part of the day in hopes Isenor would be observed leaving the residence. At approximately (1:50 p.m.) Isenor was observed by members leaving the residence. CRU members approached (him) and advised him he was under arrest. Isenor turned away from the CRU members and ran.
“After a short foot chase, Isenor gave up and turned himself in to the officers,” Orr concluded.
Isenor appeared in Nelson Court on Dec. 16 and was sentenced to 115 days in jail.
