Tips flooding in after composite sketch released of suspect in UBC sexual assaults
The BC RCMP Major Crimes Section would like to thank the public for the tips that are pouring in relating to the sexual assaults on the UBC, Vancouver campus. Since the release of the suspect composite sketch on Tuesday, Nov. 5 shortly after 12 p.m., there have been 57 additional tips of varying reliability that have been received by investigators through the tip lines.
Sgt. Peter Thiessen, Lower Mainland District RCMP spokesperson says that, “investigators are prioritizing these tips that have been coming in from individuals across the province and country. We continue to work diligently and thoroughly with all the new information, and are hopeful that the we will soon identify the suspect responsible for these assaults.”

The male suspect is described as (composite and poster attached):
- Caucasian with a slightly darker or olive skin tone, possibly tanned
- Mid- to late 20’s or even 30’s
- Thin build
- Range of 5’8” to 6’2”
- Longer rounder chin and face with straight nose
- Broad forehead
- Short, dark hair
