The Boundary Child Care Resource and Referral (BCCRR) centre is offering a new video series that caters to parents, teachers and childcare providers.

Dr. Gordon Neufeld is a Vancouver-based clinical and developmental psychologist that has been working in the field for over 35 years.

The first video that will be shown is “Relationship Matters.”

From the DVD jacket:

Society has changed. So too have the challenges of parenting and teaching. We all want our children to realize their full potential. We all want our children to become caring and considerate individuals. Yet achieving these outcomes seems to be getting harder in today’s world. How do we provide the conditions children need to truly grow up? How do we provide direction and discipline without it backfiring? How do we shield our children against the rising tide of aggression and bullying?

The BCCRR will be presenting this two-hour video in one-hour segments over two days. Part one will be screened on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the remainder of the video will be shown the following Thursday at the same time. Childminding is available for parents that want to attend.

Call 250 442 5152 to register for the program.
