Discover Your Personal Sense of Place

I want my home to be my refuge, a reflection of myself.  I watch the shows and read the magazines, but I don’t see me, much less my busy household.

Then I read Kate Bridger’s book, “Nest Building: a Guide to Finding Your Inner Interior Design.”  It’s different kind of decorating book.  It doesn’t tell you what your home should look like, but guides you, through a series of steps, to reveal what you like and why you like it.

Kate Bridger, who is an interior design consultant and a fabric artist, lives in Nelson.  Along with her many other pursuits she offers workshops based on her Nest Buildingphilosophy.

At the workshops Kate encourages participants to learn more about their personal sense of place.  She brings a fresh perspective to the fads, traditions, taboos and eccentricities of home decor.  For more information on Kate and her workshops go to: http://www.katebridger.ca/

The Kootenay Library Federation and the Grand Forks and Midway libraries are pleased to offer you a chance to attend a free, 3 hour Nest Building Seminar.  The seminar will be at the Midway Public Library on Friday, Sept. 20th from 1 pm to 4 pm and at the Grand Forks and District Public Library on Sept. 21st from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Space is limited.  Please phone 250-449-2620 in Midway or 250-442-2533 in Grand Forks or drop into either library to sign up for the workshop.

Bring an open mind and a sense of humour!
