CLSS voluntary boat inspections commencing this month

This July, the Christina Lake Stewardship Society in partnership with the Boundary Invasive Species Society, will be beginning voluntary boat inspections and public education at the Texas Point boat launch.

The initiative of this project is to prevent Zebra and Quagga mussels from entering Christina Lake, which would cause serious ecological, recreational and economic problems for our area.

Members of the Societies will be at the boat launch for three days every week throughout July and August, providing the public with educational material and teaching boaters the proper way to clean, drain, and dry their watercrafts.

Cruise on down to the boat launch, and get educated, so that we can “Help keep our lake clean!” If you have any questions, contact the Christina Lake Stewardship Society at 250-447-2504 or clss@nethop.net.
