Hi Grand Folks!

It’s 2013 – we made it – so now that we’re here, let’s take a look at what’s going on at the library:

LOTS AND LOTS OF DVDS

Thanks to all of you who have been donating your neglected DVDs to the library – we’ve received well over a hundred so far, and we’re happy to see that they are being checked out the moment we put them out on the shelves!  Here are some of the titles we’ve purchased or received as donations in the last month:

The Saint, Almost Famous, Grease, Roxanne, Rat Race, Fargo, Signs, Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, High Fidelity, Wall-E, Billy Elliot, Adaptation, and many more!

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS…

… can be a bit of a challenge. But they can sometimes – every once in a while – work. The trick is to choose something small and not too ambitious. Instead of saying you’d like to run a marathon, think about trying to run 5 kilometers first. For those of you resolution-setters who want to start small, here are some library books you might be interested in:

Cutting Your Family’s Hair by Gloria Handel

Soapmaking for the First Time by Linda Orton

Fitness Made Simple by John Basedow

And for those of you who are more ambitious:

Building a Straw Bale House by Nathaniel Corum

Start and Run a Bed and Breakfast by Monica Taylor

The Zero-Mile Diet Cookbook by Carolyn Herriot
