You’re in for an engaging evening, a masterpiece, as a stunning century old structure will be the canvas for an ARTful christmas event. The board and staff of gallery 2 are excited about the evening of Nov. 24, the night of their largest yearly fundraiser and the 21st Annual Wine Tasting.  The pre-Christmas affair will be exhibited in splashes of vibrant color and illuminated from room to room.

Wine lovers – you’re in for an exhilarating experience as you enter the grand old building and sample the fine wines from the many wineries who will be pouring their best and in many cases, award winning vintages.  Many of the favourite wineries from past years will be rejoining us as well as several new additions.

For those that are interested in fine craft ales, Nelson Brewing Company will be back with their well-known organic brews, as well, this year their good friends from Penticton, Cannery Brewing, will be joining them to offer tastes of their flavourful sensations.  The specialty products of Okanagan Spirits will once again taking part in the evening, along with a surprise presenter who is guaranteed to delight.

What are wine, brew and spirits without the accompaniment of a varied selection of delectable food?  Several of the valley’s local food producers with gallery 2’s own “Court Jesters” will be providing a sumptuous assortment of both sweet and savoury appetizers and treats that is always a culinary pleasure.

Whether you dig out the suit and tie, don the three inch heels or dress casually, you’ll be delighted with an opportunity to educate yourself in the ways of wine and brew through tasting the subtle differences between products and their producers in a pleasurable and relaxed atmosphere.

Tickets are available at gallery 2 Gift Shop or by phoning and reserving a spot.  $45 for members, $50 for non-members.  Non-member price offered for tickets bought in blocks of 10.  A good alternative and welcome change to the customary office Christmas party.

Safe ride home offered – phone for more details. Don’t be disappointed, tickets sell out fast.
