Thinking about spring cleanup? Tired of tripping over no-longer-wanted possessions in your garage? But not enough stuff to have your own garage sale? Midway has the answer and you might have heard of it already – the famous “car boot sale” of the English countryside.

The Kettle River Museum brings the idea to Midway, Boundary style – a Trunk and Tailgate Sale on Saturday, May 19. Simply load your unwanted items into your trunk, truck or van and arrive at the Kettle River Museum parking lot on Highway 3 in Midway by 8:30 a.m. on May 19.

The fun begins at 9:00 a.m., celebrating the 2012 season opening of the Kettle River Museum. Besides a parking lot full of trunk and tailgate sales, look for goodies baked and donated by friends of the Kettle River Museum, flower baskets, free museum admission and creative fun for kids.

The Kettle River Museum’s Trunk and Tailgate Sale will bring a large group of people to one place .to recycle items that might otherwise have ended up in landfill, with thanks to the Environmental Services Division of the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary for its support.

Trunk and Tailgate Sale spots are $5 each and limited. Please call Steve Stewart at 250-449-2467 now to reserve.
