Pirates, treasure, and fun make for a lively adventure in Rachelle Delaney’s The Ship of Lost Souls.  The lost souls have settled on Island X when the dark ranger arrives, followed closely by a troop of King’s men.  Excitement and confusion combine to make this children’s novel a page-turner.

The Ship of Lost Souls was a 2010 BC Book Prize finalist, named one of the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Books for Children of 2010, a finalist for the 2011 Chocolate Lily Awards and a nominee for BC’s 2012 Red Cedar Book Awards.

Rachelle Delaney is as dynamic and energetic as her novels. When she’s not writing, Rachelle is usually running or cycling, learning to play the fiddle, or planning adventures to far-flung places.

Her travels have seen her tree-climbing in a Costa Rican rainforest, running from poisonous ants in Venezuela, and searching for pygmy elephants in Malaysian Borneo. For more information about her and her books visit her website at: http://www.rachelledelaney.com

The Kootenay Library Federation, the Canada Council for the Arts and the Grand Forks Public Library are pleased to sponsor a presentation by Rachelle Delaney at The Grand Forks Public Library on Friday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m.
