Cut into winter's chill with an evening of wine, brew and tasty treats

From a small, intimate evening to the much anticipated pre-season gala held in the City’s most dignified building Gallery 2’s wine tasting event is celebrating 20 years. One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is the top quality B.C. products that are offered for sampling that evening. 

Kick off the Christmas season on Saturday, Nov. 26 with the annual wine tasting fund raiser. As wine lovers enter the stunning century old structure they will see this grand old building decked out from top to bottom in the finest of holiday attire and be treated to the sound of sweet harp strings and over a dozen wineries pouring their best and in many cases, award winning vintages.  Many of the favourite wineries from past years will be rejoining us as well as several new additions. Nelson Brewing Company has been a popular in the past with their well-known organic brew and they will be returning along with the specialty products of Okanagan Spirits.  What is wine, brew and spirits without the accompaniment of a varied selection of delectable food? Several of the valley’s own local food producers will be demonstrating their top notch products. Gallery 2’s own “Court Jesters” will also be providing a sumptuous assortment of both sweet and savoury appetizers and treats that is always a gastronomic pleasure.  Whether you dig out the suit and tie, don the 3 inch heels or dress casually – you’ll be delighted with an opportunity to educate yourself in the ways of wine and brew through tasting the subtle differences between products and their producers in a pleasurable and relaxed atmosphere.  Tickets are available at Gallery 2 Gift Shop or by phoning and reserving a spot.  $40 for members , $50 for non-members.   Safe ride home offered – phone for more details.
