Seva Centre Co-operative is offering an excellent selection of community workshops this March starting this Saturday with Easy Yoga for Renewed Energy. The community wellness classes this month will also see guest facilitator Dominque Clothiaux offer two dance workshops. These workshops are being co-sponsored with Granby Dance Studio.

Clothiaux will present a Journey into the 5Rhythms as an Ecstatic Dance workshop on Tuesday, Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m. and an evening of Modern Dance with separate classes for teens, 4:30 p.m., and adults, 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 24. Both events are being held at the Boundary Women’s Centre 268 Market Ave. (cost: $24.00 per workshop or two for $40.00.) Pre-registration is suggested as there is limited space available.

Clothiaux has danced with the Southern Academy of Ballet Arts of Tallahassee, Florida, Tallahassee Community College and Florida State University. Among her most interesting works as a dancer was Enduring Spirit: A Dance of Two Nations – the first ever multi-cultural dance in history where modern dance met Native American dancing with the Shoshone Tribe in Northern Idaho. She currently lives and dances in Charlottesville, VA.

Saturday, Mar. 13: Easy Yoga for Renewed Energy with instructor Mona Mattei.
Mattei will lead the class through a gentle series of yoga postures releasing tension, creating flexibility, and putting some spring in your step! Thank your body for the many miles it has carried you as you prepare for the activity of the coming season. Saturday, Mar. 13, 10:00 a.m. at the Boundary Women’s Centre.

Saturday, Mar. 27: Art as A Sensory Body Experience with instructor Elisabeth Guentert-Bay.
Join Elisabeth as you connect with your inner landscape and express it through body movements, colours and shapes. In this playful class, we will explore our inner state of being through reflection and expressing our natural creativity.

This is a great opportunity to sample the experience of the instructors from the Seva Centre. Admission is by donation. Classes are at the Boundary Women’s Centre at 268 Market Ave. from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration is preferred: call 250-442-2114 or email sevacentre@gmail.com.
