RDKB, Board of Trustees, and NDP elections complete for 2010

Elections were held in December to fill annual seats at the regional district, school district and the NDP constituent association. Margeurite Rotvold was re-elected as chair for the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary at their statutory meeting on Dec. 10.
At the school district the board of trustees continue to support Teresa Rezansoff as the chair for the board in 2010. Elections were done at their meeting on Tuesday Dec. 8 and included many seats on associations the board participates in throughout the year:
- BC School Trustees Rep. Sally Garcelon, alt. Ken Harshenin;
- Kootenay / Boundary branch of the BC School Trustees Assoc.: Rep. Cathy Riddle, alt. Kris Sabourin;
- Okanagan Labour Relations Council: Rep. Ken Harshenin, alt. Jeanette Hanlon;
- BC Provincial Employers Assoc.: Rep. Ken Harshenin, alt. John Malloff.
The Boundary Similkameen NDP Constituency Association recently held their
AGM on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Rock Creek Fairgrounds. The following new executive was elected:
President: Marcella Kastrukoff;
Vice President: David Janzen;
Treasurer: James Kastrukoff;
Membership Secretary: James Kastrukoff;
Recording Secretary: Kathy Hutton;
Provincial Council Delegate/Past President: Heather Kelliher;
Federal Riding Liason: Stefan Cieslik;
Area Directors: Mike Paradowski, Gladys Brown, Gwen McKinnon,
Heather Kelliher, Stephanie Tidd, Donna Stocker;
Ex Officio: MLA Katrine Conroy;
MP Alex Atamanenko.
