What good can come of an election, where a fraudulent, discriminatory disconnection exists between the Canadian voter, and those who Rule?

Canada, and its working class, at this moment are held in a death grip by traitorous political powers. Powers, which cannot be seen to be serving the interests of Canada’s popular majority, or providing Governance in Canada's best interests. The...

As we live through a hot summer, we are faced with the constant threat of fire and with water shortages in most of BC. It is heartening to finally hear ongoing public recognition of the fact of global warming and the warnings that fire threat and water shortages will be a fact of life in the years to come. It is also heartening to hear that the federal government and some provinces are taking...

Dear Editor,

The video media tech recording council meetings is publicly discrediting and debasing our mayor. He published demeaning things about Councilor Butler (that she had him remove on the basis of Respectful Workplace policy). He openly states biased opinions about issues that intimately involve the city and its residents. And all this is done on the same website  (gftv.ca) as...

In researching smart meters or Itron meters, I have learned there is a lot of misinformation circulated by email and available on the internet.  I continue to support only peaceful, legal and harmonious resolution of resident concerns about Itron smart meters.

This wildfire season has been one of the most challenging in recent memory.

As of July 14, fire crews have responded to 1,083 fires throughout the province - compared to 523 at the same time a year ago. Of those fires, we know over one-third are human caused. That's 375 fires, leading to an estimated 43,718 hectares going up in flames.

The would-be...

Dear Editor

It seems like only yesterday (40-50 years ago) parents were warned that sitting too close to a television set was harmful for children; and only yesterday (60 years ago) US forces, when testing atom bombs in the Bikini Atoll, told locals it was for the betterment of humanity (see the film Atomic Café). In US tests, troops were told to run towards the...

Dear Editor,

I've been seeing a large number of "kind people" picking up "lost pets" and posting on social media. It's a bit disturbing to me and others that people are so quick to grab the animal and take it home to keep safe until owners are located.

Last fall one of our dogs ran out our front door and down the street and in the time it took for me to slip on a pair of flip...
