For the second time in a year, the Boundary will be highlighted on TV as the film crew from West Coast Escapes wrapped up their three-day whirlwind tour of the Boundary last week. The crew shot vistas around the region, unique activities such as spelunking caves, and visited typical tourist locations in Greenwood, Christina Lake and Grand Forks.   The crew from CHEK television, cameraman Jason Pope, director John Lovelace, and producer Nik Green (the local connection), was able to interview different community people to give a snapshot to the rest of the country about what it is like to live in the Boundary.   “For me it was like going to a family reunion. Being from here is like having a few thousand parents who all want to say hello and tell me what I should be filming!” said Green jokingly. “I could have spent years shooting if we catered to every last request.”   Green said the crew didn’t have much down time in their tour, and they were happy with the results of their visit.   “John was staggered by the area and what it had to offer. He was very excited to see the varied activities and lifestyles that we have,” said Green.   Stops in Greenwood, Phoenix Mountain, Grand Forks and Christina Lake featured local artisans, tourist stops, architecture and more as the crew went off the beaten path to find the best the area has to offer. West Coast Escapes TV is a brand new, active lifestyle series that discovers properties, resorts, rentals and hidden gems along the West Coast.

The crew uses a plane owned by John Lovelace and a Toyota FJ Cruiser to travel the west coast in search of interesting content and visuals. West Coast Escapes shoots throughout the summer and airs starting on Sept 8, 2010 on CHEK TV.
