RCMP investigate B & E in downtown Grand Forks

Grand Forks RCMP is dealing with the report of a burglary at Landmark Books & Gifts located at 262 Market Avenue in the Boundary City.

Sgt. Jim Fenske said in a media release Wednesday, that the crime occurred sometime over the Labour Day weekend.

“An unknown suspect stole various items from the store including a large amount of jewelry, silver rings, silver necklaces and knives as well as unique items such as Jade carvings, large Geodes, Crystals, Gemstones and Rock formations,” Fenske explained.

Fenske said this Break & Enter may be related to the incident that occurred August 31st at the Bargain Shop.

“In that Break and Enter an unknown suspect stole approximately $600 worth of cigarettes,” Fenske said.
