Spring Fling 2010 marked the ending of another great season at Phoenix Mountain. A typical spring day, it was punctuated by a little rain, a little snow, quite a bit of sunshine, and great riding on nice soft snow.

The event was well attended by skiers, boarders and spectators who enjoyed great music and the licensed outdoor bbq area while viewing the highlight of the day – the Dummy Downhill.

There were 22 dummy entries, a record number, all lovingly home-built and mounted on skis to challenge the big kicker jump specially built by our own master groomer.

Cash prizes, derived from the entry fees, were awarded to judged winners in the following categories:
Best Looking: “Gone Fishin” built by the Mehmal family
Best Crash: “Team Denmark” built by Tonni & Kim Nielsen
Best Jump: “Swine Flew” built by Mike Rivet.

The “Peoples’ Choice” award determined by open ballot, was won in a landslide victory by “Imperial Star Destroyer” built by Ryan Keith
