City council and services are moving back into City Hall, Jan. 5, 2015. The building was damaged during a fire last year, when an arsonist broke into the hall in the early hours of Sept. 19, 2013.

The repairs and construction took around 15 months, but staff and council are ready to move back into the 4th Street location.

As of Jan. 15, anyone needing to talk to the administrative or financial offices can find them at the newly restored building. This does not include building inspection and bill payment services, which will continue to be offered at the 5th Street location until Jan. 12.

City council will hold their meetings in City Hall.

“Thank you to the public for their continued support over the past 15 months. The fire at City Hall was an added level of stress to the whole community that is finally going to come to an end. The restoration looks wonderful and it will be great to have the three departments working out of the same location as they have in the past,” adds Mayor Konrad.

An open house will be held at City Hall, Jan. 26 from 2 to 6 p.m. The public is invited to come and look at the restoration and talk to city council.
