Seva Saturday: Herbs and yoga to help beat the winter blues

The fun continues on Seva Saturdays in February as co-op member Anisah Madden offers two classes. The Seva Centre Cooperative’s open community sessions will be held on Feb. 13 and 27. This great opportunity to sample the experience of the instructors from the Seva Centre will continue into March for spring sessions. Admission is by donation. Classes are at the Boundary Women’s Centre at 268 Market Ave. from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Feb. 13: Herbs for Winter Wellness – with Anisah Madden

In this introduction to herbs for winter wellness, discover herbs that boost your

immune system & energy levels, prevent or reduce cold and flu symptoms, and more! You will also make and sample a variety of herbal teas.

Feb. 27: Yogic Breathing to Beat the Winter Blues – with Anisah Madden

Learn to breathe the yogic way. This class introduces simple practices you can do at home to improve lung capacity, oxygenate the brain and body, and enliven your whole being.

Mats & blankets provided. Pre-registration by phone or email is encouraged but not required. Cost: by donation.
