We’ll be having our Annual General Meeting (AGM ) on March 4 at 7 pm. It’s a good opportunity for you to come and support the library – on our end, we promise to keep the meeting part of it to a minimum, and the socializing and refreshments part to a maximum.

Downton Abbey

Don’t miss our Downton Abbey Tea Party – to be held on Saturday, February 28 at 2 pm. We’ll have a costume parade with prizes, crafting corner, photo booth, trivia quiz, and scone bake-off!

On Grocery Stores

Join us for a workshop on How to Navigate the Modern Grocery Store on March 5 at 6 pm. You’ll pick up tips and tricks on how to choose healthy options for you and your family – with information on food labels, organic vs conventional, and lots more. Our guest speaker is Registered Holistic Nutrionist Natasha Kuralesova.

Legoland

Lego lego lego lego lego lego lego. Lego. Lego, lego. Need I say anything more? On March 6 from 2 – 3:30 pm.

Debt

Canadian household debt has risen to record levels – so we’re calling in the folks from The Advocacy Centre (a non-profit organization based out of Nelson). They will be at the library on Thursday, March 12 at 6:30 pm, to deliver a workshop on the subject of debt. Their discussion will touch on legal issues related to credit/debt; options for when debts become a problem; credit reporting; and resources that are available.
