The Grand Forks Fall Fair was cancelled this spring when there weren't enough volunteers to come forward and organize it. However, the River Valley Community Church stepped up and helped the existing volunteers pull the event together.

The second annual Park in the Park car show has grown from last year with more cars, more vendors and more entertainment for the Aug. 17 event.

Over 30 vendors were set up in “Vendor’s Alley” on the sidewalk next to the BMX track by City Park. Next to the vendors were the cars that came from all over Western Canada and some from the United States.

It’s all sails ahead for the Rotary Club of Grand Forks’ first Lobster fest.

The Rotary Club announced the lobster dinner earlier this year as a fundraiser for the coming Rotary Children’s Spray Park. Tickets were sold for $100 each and now, two weeks from the event, they have sold out.
