The Nelson Leafs increased its lead in the Murdoch Division to four points by stopping the Grand Forks Border Bruins 6-2 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action Thursday night in the Boundary City.
The win was the fourth straight for the Leafs, all against Murdoch Division opponents.
Dustin Reimer, Bryce Nielsen, Carsen Willans, Damin Devlin, Colton Schell and Blake Arcuri scored for the Leafs.
Nelson, 10-5-1-0, held period leads of 2-1 and 5-2.
Nelson returns home Saturday to meet the Kamloops Storm at 7 p.m. in the NDCC Arena.
