Soccer taking hold across the Boundary
The Boundary Youth Soccer Association rounded off a fun spring season with a Boundary-wide tournament on the soccer fields at Boundary Central Secondary School in Midway, Saturday, June 23.
Hundreds of kids between four and 18, their families and friends spent the day celebrating soccer. The kids played tournament games, got free balloons, had their faces painted and enjoyed a free lunch thanks to the numerous community business donations and volunteers.
The top three winners in the U10 division were the White Caps with 24 points, the J.E.T.S. with 23 points and Blue Lightning with 17 points. The top three winners in the U12 division were Fighting Falcons with 21 points, Green Hornets with 16 points and the Red Rockets with 14 points. Of the three U15 teams, the Screeching Eagles took first with 22 points, the Green Warriors FC took second place with 18 points and the Buttercups took third place with 12 points.
