Sharlene Johnston identified as woman who died in Beaverdell accident

Sharlene Gayle Johnston, 46, of Grand Forks has been identified by BC Coroners Service as the victim of a motor vehicle accident that happened three kilometers south of Beaverdell on Thursday, Oct. 25.
Midway RCMP and Midway Fire Rescue responded to the call at 7:30 p.m. that night after the 1991 Olds Cutlass Johnston was driving rolled over an embankment on Highway 33.
She had been driving northbound on Highway 33 when her vehicle left the roadway on the right shoulder and went over the embankment.
Johnston died later of her injuries at Kelowna General Hospital. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Sharlene Johnston’s family has now been notified of her death.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
