History: After enjoying living in an RV for years, traveling with their entertainment business, RJ and Tom never imagined they would be invited to open a restaurant and put down roots in Midway. They then asked the community what they wanted in a local restaurant. What resulted is a relaxed atmosphere where people can meet and eat reasonably-priced, healthy, home-cooked meals, have fun, and stay out till 10pm. Delivery is available as far as Rock Creek and Greenwood for $6 and people meet often them there from farther out. Pizzas have made up ½ of their business – totalling 8390 pizzas this week and certificates on the wall celebrate milestones along the way with lucky patrons winning multiple free pizzas. RJ and Tom started small and gradually added things as they could afford them. “We are not in debt at all.” confided RJ, “We started out with little card tables for customers to eat on.”

Future Plans: RJ and Tom will be expanding upstairs in the leased, Victorian-style building. Within the next few months they are planning to create two conference rooms with WiFi for laptops and big screen tvs to accommodate local meetings. They are also planning on expanding their elaborate Christmas display by staging a tree-decorating contest for all local businesses.

Community Spirit: RJ and Tom are very appreciative of the community support. “The community has been absolutely wonderful. We couldn’t ask for better. We donate where we can back to the community!” RJ and Tom accept donations on behalf of the local community share program, they offer a portion of the Christmas display funds to charity, and join in local fund-raising events by donating food or labour.
