To the Editor;

Teachers in the Boundary are very upset and completely disillusioned with the Liberal government's attack on public education and basic union rights that have been fairly negotiated over the past few decades.

To make it clear, teachers would much rather be in classrooms with students and only escalated their job action to a full strike after...

I am writing to voice my opposition and conerns with the application under the Ministry's Community Recreation program by the RDKB Area D Regional Director to pave the Trans Canada Trail between Grand Forks and Christina Lake.

My reasons are these:

1.  A good percentage of the trail lies within the City of Grand Forks.

BC Nurses’ Union members continue to be concerned about the closure of the Castlegar Emergency services on February 4. We want the community of Castlegar to know that our priority is to provide quality and safe patient care. The nurses at Castlegar Hospital will continue to advocate for improvements so that high quality care will be there for you.

Bruce Davidson an activist from Walkerton, Ontario who has made over one hundred presentations will tell his story in Grand Forks in March. Remember Walkerton, over 2300 seriously ill, seven deaths and over 40 left with serious health problems, all from cow manure in one of the town’s water wells?

Al Grant from Rock Creek will start the evening...
