Monashee Institute Train the Trainers Workshop

The Monashee Institute’s (MI) goal is to establish Rossland as a destination of learning. We are offering a professional development workshop to MI instructors, and those who may be interested in delivering courses in the future.  Anyone keen to expand, tune-up, or share their knowledge on how to create a great learning environment for adults is invited to attend. Terry Miller, management consultant, will lead the session. Kate Harrison Whiteside, communication consultant, trainer, and MI interim coordinator, will assist.

Free Project Development and Grant Writing

The Monashee Institute (MI) is hosting a free Project Development and Grant Writing workshop September 24th, from 2-4 pm at Rossland Library. Creative Writing Workshop

Do you feel compelled to write?  Have you a manuscript in the drawer that got away on you? How about some different ideas for that memoir you want to leave for the kids?

The Monashee Institute (MI) is offering a new Creative Writing Workshop as an opportunity for writers at any stage to explore their writing voice in Rossland’s beautiful mountain environment,October 3rd – 5th.

Almeda Glenn Miller and Kate Harrison Whiteside have teamed up to take you from seed to harvest of your writing idea. Including daily, guided walks followed by inspired writing workshop and discussions around the practice of writing, this creative writing weekend is built around a balanced and sustainable approach to your writing.

Permaculture: The Theory and Practice of Abundance

Join the Monashee Institute (MI) three days of intense, in-depth, in-situ learning of core tenets in permaculture design. Patterns in nature, water and earthworks, energy and food forests, soils and livestock, climate strategies, building shelter and society, and alternative livelihood. Instructor is Moon Gravity Farm’s Andrew Bennett.
