Dear Editor,  The Board of Education of School District 51 (Boundary) invites the community along with, parents, students and school district staff to attend one of two public budget meetings: Monday, Apr. 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Boundary Central Secondary School library and Tuesday, Apr. 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Grand Forks Secondary School library.   We will provide some preliminary information about the sources of our funding and a provincial overview. We will be asking for commentary based on this year’s 2011-12 budget. Specifically we would like input on what areas the Board should be considering as we develop the budget for the coming school year to best serve the needs of our students.  As a publicly funded school system that serves our children and their families, community consultation is very important to the school district. This means providing information and asking for public input as we develop our budget is essential. We look forward to talking with you at BCSS on Apr. 18 and GFSS on Apr. 19.  Teresa Rezansoff,Board chairperson,

Board of Education of School District 51 (Boundary)
