During last 10 days Sgt. Jim Fenske, Detachment Commander for the Boundary Regional RCMP said police in Grand Forks have responded to two complaints regarding a male chasing two people in the area of Central Avenue from Motel 99 to the Shell Gas Station.

“In both instances there was no attempt at an abduction or an assault,” Fenske said.

“The male followed the person for a short distance before heading off in another direction. The description of the male is that he is a caucasian male dressed in all black clothing and is approximately 6-feet tall.”

Fenske said Grand Forks RCMP have yet to identify the male, but the information provided by the two witnesses suggest that the male suffers from Mental Health issues.

“At this time the Grand Forks RCMP have no information suggesting the male is a danger to anyone but would like to advise the public of the suspicious behaviour,” he said.

“The Grand Forks RCMP are currently trying to identify the male, if you can provide information or assistance please call the Grand Forks RCMP at 250-442-8288.”
