Grand Forks RCMP respond to B & E, MVA

Grand Forks RCMP said officers are looking for public assistance following a couple of recent incidents that have plagued the Boundary City.

As recently as Friday (February 2) police responded to a Break and Enter at the Winnipeg Liquor store located at 426 Central Avenue at 11:30 p.m.

RCMP said unknown suspects used a large rock to smash out a window and gained entry into the store.

Once the suspects entered the store, they stole various bottles of liquor.

The previous incident involved a motor vehicle at 239 Market Avenue, the location of Fashions and Flowers.

Police were called at just after 11 a.m. on (Friday) January 26 of a report that a vehicle had struck the building then reversed into another vehicle parked nearby.

RCMP members determined that alcohol was involved and are recommending charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Mischief over $5000.

Police said the business suffered substantial damage. Additional charges may be recommended as the investigation progresses.
