Throughout the past year, the City of Grand Forks has been working on the production of several videos to promote and celebrate the community.

In the fall of 2013, the Economic Development Advisory Committee made a recommendation to City Council to develop material that would incorporate the new brand and story of the community. The decision was made to work with Global Authority Media to develop and produce the videos.

“Shooting and producing the Grand Forks videos was a passion project that saw my team and I shoot various footage of the area over the course of 10 months. The end result is six videos that are intended for different applications within the city’s branding and marketing efforts,” said Global Authority’s Nick Green, “It’s very important for people to share them on Facebook, Twitter and the like for outsiders to see.”

“The whole process took just over one year in order to capture the four seasons that we experience here in Grand Forks,” said Mayor Brian Taylor, “It’s been a major accomplishment for the community and means that we can take authentic footage of the area on the road to try and spark interest in our community. What we are really looking for is growth of the community both from an economic and a social perspective. We really think these videos, once people get a glimpse of them, are going to help us accomplish this.”

There are six videos in total that can be viewed at www.grandforks.ca
